Accessibility statement
Clariva is designed to be accessible, including for people with disabilities. We are working towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.
Keyboard navigation
Clariva is designed to work with a keyboard. Tab through controls, use Enter or Space to activate buttons, and use the arrow keys where appropriate. Focus indicators are designed to be clearly visible.
Screen reader support
Clariva is designed to work with screen readers. We use meaningful labels, landmarks and live regions so screen reader users can navigate and follow page content and updates.
Text-to-speech
Clariva reads your text aloud with adjustable playback speed.
Adjustable reading presentation
Choose your preferred font size, line height, text width and colour contrast in the reader. Simplified reading modes remove distractions without changing the source.
High-contrast themes
Clariva supports light and dark modes, with colour palettes chosen with WCAG contrast guidance in mind. Your preference is saved across sessions.
Clear language and structure
We use plain language where possible, provide descriptive headings, and structure content logically. Error messages aim to explain what went wrong and how to fix it.
Conformance
Browser and assistive technology support
Known limitations
- Some third-party content (e.g. embedded videos, external webpages) may not meet our accessibility standards.
- Optical character recognition (OCR) for images and PDFs may produce inaccurate text that affects screen reader and text-to-speech output.
- Native companion applications (macOS, Windows, iOS, Android) are in development and are not yet available.
